Myrna McCallum is a Métis-Cree mother and grandmother from Treaty Six territory (Green
Lake and Waterhen Lake FN). She is the host of The Trauma-Informed Lawyer podcast. Myrna
acknowledges that through her professional experience as a prosecutor and Indian Residential
School adjudicator, Indigenous people and survivors of sexual violence helped her become the
trauma-informed lawyer she is today. Myrna created The Trauma-Informed Lawyer podcast so law
students, lawyers, judges, educators, and advocates around the globe can also benefit from the
same teachings she received in humility, patience, empathy, and self-awareness. Myrna owns and
operates Miyo Pimatisiwin Legal Services in North Vancouver.
